Actor Jamie Foxx has been accused of sexual assault eight years ago at a New York rooftop restaurant. A lady has accused him of sexual assault, according to TMZ. She claims Foxx raped her in August 2015 at the New York rooftop eatery Catch.
She claims Foxx used force to touch her breasts and genitals at the rooftop bar. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, has named as defendants the co-founder of the Catch Hospitality Group, Mark Birnbaum, and the restaurant’s personnel.
According to the lawsuit, the woman was in pain and needed medical attention. It also demands restitution for pain and suffering, as well as emotional strain, anxiety, and humiliation.
Jamie Foxx was accused of sexual harassment during the MeToo movement, which he rejected. He is one of the most recent high-profile celebrities accused of sexual misconduct in a recent string of cases filed under the Adult Survivors Act, a New York state law that allows such claims to be filed even if the statutes of limitations have expired, according to Reuters.
He was ‘intoxicated’ when he assaulted the woman, took her to a more private area, and grabbed her.
Foxx was most recently featured in the courtroom drama The Burial, which was published on Amazon Prime Video.
